OUR STORY

A Legacy Built on Excellence and Community

There are practitioners, and then there are institutions. In Charleston orthodontics, Dr. Howard Vincent is both.

Dr. Vincent began treating Charleston families in 1984, the year he opened this practice. In the four decades since, he has crafted thousands of smiles across this community, built a reputation that preceded him into every room, and set a standard of care that this practice has never stopped reaching for.

A South Carolina native, Dr. Vincent attended Wofford College before earning his dental degree from the Medical University of South Carolina. He completed his orthodontic residency at the University of Florida and pursued advanced specialized training in occlusion, the study of how teeth fit and function together, a discipline that shaped his meticulous approach to every case he touched.

His patients don't describe him as their orthodontist. They describe him as the best in town. For a very long time, that wasn't just sentiment. It was the consensus.

Dr. Vincent's three sons grew up here and still call Charleston home, as do his nieces and nephews. His roots in this community run as deep as anyone's. These days he spends his time the way he's earned the right to, more mornings on the golf course than he used to, and in the practice when we need him most. Some things you don't fully retire from.

When Dr. Vincent was ready to bring someone into the practice he'd spent a lifetime building, he didn't advertise. He made a phone call. That call said everything about the standard he intended to protect.

We are grateful for him every single day.
